Luis Rubin, CPA, CA
I am Chartered Professional Accountant graduated from the University of Manitoba in 2005. I previously obtained my accounting designation in Argentina, where I started my professional practice in year 1982. That means that I’ve worked 35 years as an accountant.
I am currently working with Zhang & Associates Chartered Professional Accountants Inc.
I also attended many advanced tax courses and information systems through the CISA program that enabled me to work as an information system auditor. I gained valuable experience working for different firms in Canada, US and Latin America. Through many years I have assisted clients in a wide range of industries including professional services, investment corporations, manufacturing, construction, agri-business, mining, real estate, retail, hospitality, educational, First Nations and not-for-profit entities.
I provided personalized attention to client requests. They need solutions quickly and I am committed to being available when they need me looking for cost-effective solutions.
I am also participating in real estate partnerships that provides me with a clear understanding of the tax and business issues related.
I am highly involved with the community participating in countless fundraising events for significant charities in the province. I was a Director for the Argentinean Manitoban Association and the Advisory Board of the Salvation Army in Winnipeg. I also assisted the Jewish Immigration Aid Services Canada as a Treasurer and Board Member. Presently I am an executive member of Aspire Chapter of BNI acting as Secretary Treasurer and a member of the GetAssit network.
Chi Zhang, CPA, CA, CISA
Chi has worked in public accounting with a local chartered accountant firm for two years and later with a multi-national accounting firm for another two years. Chi also worked in a senior position of an assurance group for a large public corporation that specializes in the manufacturing business for three years.
Chi’s strong belief in giving back to the community is portrayed through five years of involvement with the local Chinese Community. Chi is currently serving as Vice-President for The Chinese Chamber of Commerce of Manitoba.
Chi earned his Chartered Accountant (CA) designation in 2008 after completing a Bachelor of Commerce degree at the University of Manitoba in 2005.
Chi also earned his Certified Information System Auditor (CISA) designation and completed the US CPA qualification exam.
Since entering the profession in 2008, Chi has provided his services to a wide variety of clientele focusing on auditing, accounting, taxation, financial planning, information technology and corporate governance. He has worked with clients in various sectors including transportation, manufacturing, hospitality, non-profit, and government.
Specifically, Chi has had extensive experience in the following areas:

Our office employs five other staff members that perform the accounting and tax work. Our staff has the skills and continuous education according to the tasks performed.
